When I pumped, milk would definitely come out and then if I used a nippleshield sometimes I wouldn't need to the pump and my little human vacuum did a terrific job all by herself.After the first few weeks though I developed mastitis in my left breast and then after even getting over that, milk was not flowing like it first did out of either breast. I tried this product based on the reviews and it did work as advertised although my little one suffered from some terrible gas. I was getting an average of 2-3 oz of extra milk each day! Long story short, my husband and I didnt sleep for about 5 days from the time I realized what was causing my sons discomfort and stopped taking the pills. I felt horrible. Other reviews said that this was also the case for their kids but I was hoping that the fennel extract would help since its an ingredient in gripe water as well, which we use to calm my sons stomach at times. I had read that Goat's Rue is helpful for milk production in women with low breast tissue, and that it can even help increase breast tissue, which is why I opted for this blend on my second order of supplements. I definitely produce more milk with these pills than the regular blend. Follow the directions of not drinking more than an ounce of water 15 minutes before or after taking the pills and you will see an even bigger difference. You take 4 pills a day if you are under 175 lbs and 6 pills a day if you are over 175 lbs.I will continue to take these pills the entire time I breast feed and I recommend them to everyone that claims to have low milk supply.
